We use an isle shower inside the van. Not dependent on the weather outside. No swim suits needed. We both have fairly short hair so 1.5 gallons or less of water is enough for both our showers. If our campsite has a water supply we might splurge and double the amount of water. The whole thing takes little space to store.

A cheap Walmart shower curtain threaded onto a piece of wood dowel placed across the top of the open rear doors works fine for us. A couple spring clamps hold the dowel in place. If it's windy, a couple magnets hold the curtain at the bottom of the door to prevent it sticking to us.

For what it is worth:

You all are talking about a hard "curtain rod" but we just use a stretchy line. Our sprinter rear doors stay open well enough and the line just stays with the curtain so its all very easy to stuff into a dedicated pocket on the rear door.

Thanks for the replies.

In my youth I was known as a bit of an exhibitionist and I suppose some of that remains, in spite of the fact that it’s no longer quite as fun for those witnessing the show. All that is to say I’d still like to protect the van and contents from getting wet, hence ordering this

Doesn’t sound like anyone has installed one though...
