ok to post Q's for related but not actual Sportsmobile stuff?

Hey, everyone.

I'm doing an Express 3500 build and this forum has been a great source of information even though my van is not actually a Sportsmobile conversion. For instance, figuring out the limited slip and locker options available for my van.

I only just signed up for an account and before I post any questions I first wanted to check to see if its even ok to post questions about vehicles that are not Sportsmobile so long as its generally related to offroad-y vans.

Thx

Welcome. Sure. As you know, there are forums for different subjects related to vans.

Please post a build thread in Homemade SMB - Ground up Builds. You could also ask questions in a build thread.

Yes, lots of people do. We have plenty of non-SMB'ers on here. Sometimes I worry it will lose it's focus and turn into a homebuild-van forum, but so far we've all played well together. It's a cool, chill, and non-pretentious group of people, so be the same and you'll get along well.

I agree with BrianW about this site. I've looked at some other sites but this one feels most comfortable to me. You can find loads of good info here, some that you didn't even know you needed.

You definitely came to the right place. The people on here are amazing and have so much knowledge. Watching some of these threads with home builds is like watching your favorite suspense show just can’t wait for another post. I’ve learned so much from here. Welcome

True dat!

Plus its great trying to convince someone else to try/buy something we really want ourselves so we can see how it works without the cost or installation labor.

But OTOH most of us here already seem to spend money without too much reservation and all on our own.
