I would buy the hell out of that van.
First thing, less than 7k on the clock. V10 tow haul 5 speed w/ NO RSC!! Cruise Control. It had the rear AC/heat unit in it at one time as evidenced by the switch and the hole in the back which means you have the option to rehook it up if you want, just grab one from a junkyard. Aside from the custom stuff the van looks very clean indeed. C4 axle code.....might be 3.73 Limited slip, maybe. But that is good.
The bad is that you will have to remove all the crap they put in it and there will be random holes in your floor you need to fix. That spray foam is both good and bad. Good because it's there, bad because you might need to scrape it out.
I flew to Phoenix with a cashiers check in hand to get my van. There were surprises, but overall I did pretty decent and came away with the van I wanted. I knew that if it wasn't right, I could go back to the airport and go home, but I have no regrets Some of those surprises cost me some cash and time, but that's used vans. I drove my V10 van home at 85mph...
if this van had come up when I was looking, I would have bought it immediately so I could do my own window configuration. If you are looking to do a build, then this one is a bit of a unicorn, you won't see too many like it, and none with that little mileage in that condition.
I'm jealous!!
If you don't buy it let me know, I know someone who might.
And oh yeah, as far as mechanical, there is really nothing that normal driving can do to that engine and trans combo to beat on it. That trans is a beast and even if it idled alot, it's a gasser so it won't be a big deal. I'd say worst case is the injectors might be gummy from sitting, put some cleaner through it, although it may run just fine.
Check out my build thread to see what I did with my used empty V10 EB window van. It's been a journey.
