Ok...never knew about the Darian Gap. But that makes it even better and only adds about 4 to 5 days to the drive. Hire 4 guys in Columbia, fly down with 2 pulaskis, 2 axes, 4 shovels, 2 come alongs, 500 ft of 15Klb static rope. Stock up 5 jerry cans fuel, 2 extra tires, freeze dried for 5 for 7 days, 2 days water, water purification and Sat Phone (in case it goes to crap). Better than Everest and pretty sure that you can get 4 or 5 sponsors and a Discovery channel documentary. Then TV rounds on Today and GMA. It might bring back the Ford E-Series...
