Hey, can I hang out w/ you guys? (New-to-me Quig Advwagen)
Well, it's not a Sportsmobile but ... functionally it is very very similar.
I just this afternoon brought home my latest favorite vehicle, a 1998 E350 Quigley with a teak interior by Ed Anderson (AdventureWagen).
EB, V-10, 78,000 miles, original owner, very very nice shape except for some peeling paint on the hightop.
I will take some pix over the next couple days, but for now, here are a couple that the seller emailed me recently.

Congrats and welcome!
That's really clean.
Is this the same Esmi from Expo that had super sweet pig (and many other rides)?

Why, yes, that's me.
I saw that Piggie on eBay not too long ago -- it seems to have made the rounds.
I think we have a mutual friend who looks after my former Provan Tiger CX...
Nice to run into a "friendly" here -- I don't go over to Expo much anymore.

Re: Hey, can I hang out w/ you guys? (New-to-me Quig Advwage
I took a couple of glamour shots of my new van this afternoon, and I offer them below for your viewing pleasure...
As you can see, it is not the well-loved "Desert Tan" color, but more of a Dirt/Bag Brown. The color is actually quite nice. The paint is in good shape (for 15 years old), except the hightop clear coat is peely and fading.
The interior is where Adventurewagen vans really stand out. Extraordinarily well thought out and warm. There are about a billion neato touches that I will document as I uncover them. Things like the portapotty has a cover that is made from the same material as the seats, so it works like a footstool when it's not working with any other kind of stool. It has a stowable dog ramp (PO had an elderly dog) that is carpeted in the orig Ford carpeting. Just all kinds of cool stuff.
I should have pulled the bound-carpet throw rug to show the parquet flooring, but I failed. Two way fridge (110v and 12v). Techy battery monitoring system. It's got two solar panels on the roof, AND A THIRD ONE ON A TRIPOD with a long wire that plugs into the bumper, so you can park in the shade and still collect a few photons.
I am very pleased with this deal.

Nice rig. Welcome aboard. I hope we cross paths on the road or at some future SMB Meet and Greet.
