Free 1 year pass to national parks for families of 4th graders!

https://everykidinapark.gov/

"Every Kid in a Park
You and your family get free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for an entire year."

This looks like a cool program and since I have a kiddo finishing up 3rd grade it looks like 2019 will include some free trips to National Parks for us.

Just thought I would pass it along to anyone with kids.

Ha! I know a few parents that might lend you a 4th grader! You gotta keep them for the whole summer though!

Really though I think you can buy an annual NPS pass for $80. Everyone with an SMB should buy one!

On a related note, tomorrow (21 April) is one of the Free Entrance Days at our National Parks. I couldn't imagine going to any of the more popular parks, but might be a good time to explore a lesser visited park.

I've got a 24 year old "kid" I'd be more than happy to loan out for the summer

Do dogs count? I may or may not have claimed them as dependents on my 2017 return, and they self identify as children
