Re: Meet and Greet at Valley of Fire, October 7-9,2011

Very regrettably my new job is taking up all my time and I am not going to be able to make VoF. Have a great time everybody and thanks for putting it together. Maybe next year...

Re: Meet and Greet at Valley of Fire, October 7-9,2011

I'm all loaded up and ready to go.

I decided to cancel all of my appointments tomorrow and go out a day earlier on Wednesday so I have time to relax before the majority of folks arrive. I've got a full grocery bag of reading I need to catch up on that has been sitting on my desk for months.

It's a beautiful cloudy day today. It has been sprinkling rain for the past two days. The air should be crisp and clear out at the Valley of Fire this weekend.

Just got off the phone will Dave. Sadly he will need to be towed into Vegas tomorrow. Hopefully he will be able to get his rig fixed at the Ford dealer and be back on the road without missing a beat. Pray they will be able to fix his brakes easily and cheaply.

Damn Dave I dont have any good answers for you, I dont know anything about the area.

Loks like there might be camping at indian springs park. I think it might be best to stay in indian springs untill tomorrow for services. It does not look like theres not much for a long ways in either direction. Between you and vegas it looks to be flat road to vegas with a golf course and I think a prison in between.

Let me know if theres something else that might be of help.

Thanks guys. Looks like a hotel across the street at the casino. Pray the bed bugs don't bite it don't look like the best spot but we have been out for several days and it's nice to get in a hot shower and wash up.
I'll post back in the morning...might be showing up in a rental after stopping by wally world for a tent

If anyone else needs to call me, my cell phone number is:

seven-zero-two-five-nine-two-six-four-three-one

I have a cell phone booster in my rig so hopefully you will be able to get through to me at the Valley of Fire.
