Qwyhee River East Side, Part 1

I joined some friends on a camping trip to the east side of the Owyhee River. We visited Leslie Gulch, Jordan Craters, Birch Creek Historic Ranch, Three Forks and a few other places along the way. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to watch our videos.

Thanks for sharing Larrie. I really should take some time to explore the Owyhees. It’s not like they’re very far away from me. Did you just make this trip? If so, I had no idea that they were already this dry.

Glad you liked it. The Owyhee’s are a very interesting area and worth the time to explore. We actually did the trip last October. Health issues prevented me from getting it out sooner.

Nice trip Larry. We've been to quite a few of those places. Some neat country out that way.

Leslie Gulch is amazing but you cant camp at Daygo Gluch anymore Luckily We camped in there a few times before they closed it off to everyone.

We have been into Jordan Craters with George as well, but didnt go check out Birch Creek ranch. Will hafta do that sometime. Looks really cool and your campsite was amazing. We ended up down in some crazy canyon after driving along the crater for hours, lol. You know how George goes...

Look forward to your 3 forks review and too see where else you ended up. I really like it down there. Don't ever go down there when its wet though. Most scared in my van ive ever been trying to get out of there after a rainstorm. took me almost an hour to get out of that canyon and it was only an mile,

We camped out near leslie gulch 2 weeks ago and its mainly dry, but you need to be careful as the top layer can be dry but if you drive the wrong spot you can sink like a rock. We've helped rescue more than one rig that was messing around where they shouldn't have been. Always assume all low spots are muddy under the crust in the Owyhee desert November to April.
