Re: 4x4 conversion on my 2000 SMB

Looks awesome!

May I ask how much it cost all together? I hate to be the one to ask about money!! but 4x4 conversions are always a hot topic around here, and it'd be interesting to hear how it compares to the 'Big Four' conversion companies. I've never been able to get a sense of how much Chris' kit would cost to complete.

Cheers,
Mike.

Re: 4x4 conversion on my 2000 SMB

Phil -I need to look. I always thought that was just part of the propane system or something since I have a propane powered generator.

The whole enchilada came out to $13,000. The cost included making my 10 year old transmission even better then new, so it might be a little less for a newer low-mileage van. A few people with Quigleys have commented how much better this conversion looks. The real "test" will be when some more SMBers see it and I get their comments.

Thanks Gary! That seems to be a fair savings over the big 4. And yours looks really nice - enjoy!

Please let us know how it performs after you've had a opportunity to put it under some stress.
