Find another propane place. O rings are the engineering standard for sealing almost any substance, liquid or gas and at pressures that would blow holes in the side of your van. Just learn how to tighten it appropriately, they are damaged by over tightening.
Well it's a quick disconnect (nothing to tighten) but it's made for high pressure and they sell em for just that purpose. I am aware of the hose pressure during the disconnect. SMB has installed several of the Extends Flow extensions. Not that I use it a much but if there are no issues with leaks I'm not worried and it might come in useful one of these days. I had thought of cutting in a valve that feeds the outlet but haven't done anything with it yet. My biggest concern is the outlet is fairly close to the Espar water heater.
