Mike,
I insert a little plug on the end of the hose when the shower is not in use.

Herb,
We have a 5 Gallon Collapsible tank that SMB provided for us that works well for our use.
Here are the pics.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Wait, so Ray.. do you have a regular grey water tank too? So everything that goes down the sink will go into that bag.. and also.... when you pull the line open lets say half way through the trip to take a shower.. that 5 gallon will start filling unless you haven't used your sink at all on the trip yet.
Correct?

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Dave,
You are correct indeed! We don't have an actual GW tank because of our added options. So the collapsible GW is our ONLY tank. The outside spout is connected directly to the "sink drain". I added a "T" type tube and attached it to the Porta-Shower when in use. You could say that the sink and the porta shower drains to the collapsible GW tank.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
SurfG,
We also did not want to use the real estate for a GW tank inside the van, and there was no normal spot for a tank under the van. SMB TX placed a tank just about above where your photo shows the external connection that your GW hose attaches to. It is fit just forward of the rear wheek well in a spot that was empty but seemingly small. We now have a multi-gallon tank that we did not think we would have. It works great!

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Greg,
If you get a chance, can you post some pictures of your GW Tank so maybe I can, or SMB West, can replicate it? How many gallons is it? Thanks.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
I was thinking a DIY version made from PVC tube might be the ticket for GW or extra GW space. Cap both ends, add a drain and plumbing... oh and a vent.
Does anyone know if there are standards for grey water that would exceed rain or drinking water?

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Herb,
Sorry it took so long for me to post a picture of the cap/handle. Been real busy at work. I also picked up a spare yellow connector to the tank from Kragen for $2 bucks today. Let me know if you can't find it there, I can pick one up and send it your way.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.
Our GW tank sits right above the drain that you have also. It's a 7 gallon.
