Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

I don't recall what I did. Is there a threaded screen section you can pull out? I was able to find everything at OSH.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

I found a workaround based on your comments. I was trying to connect the new showerhead to the end of the chrome hose after removing the existing brown faucet. This connection was very odd 19/32" and four different plumbing supply shops could not help. But if I unscrew just the aerator from the current faucet, it is standard 1/2" pipe thread, and that is an easy adapter to find. I had hoped for a cleaner setup than that (showerhead attached to faucet is a bit cumbersome), but it should work.

Thanks for the help,
-JR

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

JR, they once make quick disconnects (I think for portable dishwashers) that might make for an easier hookup rather than having to thread the hose on each time.

Glad you found the correct hardware.

Dave

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

The easy way would be a water thief, I carry one in my connections bag:

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

Did you drain plug come with a kit? If not where did you buy it? I have been looking to do something similar to mine and am still trying to figure out how to drain it.

Thanks

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

I think most are just draining to the outside, or they just dump the pan. Most gray water tanks are fairly small so outside seems to be the best place if it's allowed. There is another thread going on here about portable showers you might want to search for.

Re: Porta-Shower Mod.

JR,

Your post is all to familiar. I tried to find something to fit the strange thread on the aerator. When I couldn't find anything to fit hooked a hand shower with a flexible hose to the faucet. What happened is I found the plastic threads on the faucet weren't up to the wear and I started having problems with leaks and I could see the treads deteriorating. This is when I decided to cut into the water line under the sink and install a diverter for the flexible hose.

Cheers
John

I am looking to possible spec. my build with a water closet/ Thetfort cassette toilet/ shower. I will be using the RB low top Sprinter. Any input on the pros and cons of this
being incorporated into the low roof/ Penthouse conversion?
