OK then - I guess the bottom line is this:

The heater draws 1000W or less.
The 2KW generator can handle it.
With any luck, I'll never be anywhere cold enough to make it useful.

Thanks again for all the info - one less thing to wonder and worry about.

I also have a Honda 2000W generator for cold weather camping. My thought was to plug in the block heater and plug in the van. That way the engine is pre heated and the batteries are topped off for a really cold start, 0 degrees or below.
