Any idea how to do this? I have an UG, and the site looks dead, and I have no idea where to begin to implement the X-commands.

Re: Gauge Monitoring Gizmos

I just asked my buddy, and I have to correct what I said slightly. I did call them last winter (I was considering buying an Ultra Gauge as well) and the part about "well yes you can program them but it's for super duper experts and is really really hard" they did tell me was slightly overkill as they were trying to avoid having "regular people" frustrated. But they said if I had done a Scan Gauge it should be no problem for me.

However I decided to stick with my Scan Gauge, and what I didn't remember was that my buddy bought some "special deal" one that was already programmed by them.

IIRC I think they said you somehow use the same numbers (the four that you use for the Scangauge are apparently somehow universal to the engine computer or something). But my memory is a little shaky on that so not very helpful, sorry.

You have to buy the "MX 1.3" model to use the X-gauge features. The nice thing is you have the option to order it with the Ford codes pre-loaded. Anything beyond that you have to program them.

Re: Gauge Monitoring Gizmos

Thanks for that info. It looks like I can send them my 2013 EM 1.2 and they'll either flash it up to the MX or send me a new MX model...not clear which, but I'm guessing that they will flash my old one for $15. And it appears that I can get it with the Ford 6.0 pre-config.

I like the display, looks and size of the UG, but if I had to do it over again, I think I should have gone with the ScanGauge.
