Our Configuration

Well, since I've asked a ton of questions and hounded everyone for advice, I figured I should let you know what we ended up with after all this time. The van is scheduled to go into production on July 10. Here is a rundown of the options.
  • 2007 Ford RB Diesel (Pueblo Gold)
    SMB 4x4 conversion
    AMSoil
    PH with Bed
    Espar Diesel Air Heater
    Flat Plate Heat Exchanger
    Custom floor plan (aisle/gaucho configuration)
    Marine Vinyl Flooring
    Day/Night shades
Ultra leather on both captain seats (2 tone)
    16g Fresh Water tank
    Porta Potti
    Exterior Shower
    XL Storage
    1 AGM 4D Battery
    Solar prewire
    Thule Track Mount
    Trojan Tire Carrier
    Nerf Boards
    Bushwackers
    Bug Deflector
Additional insulation for fridge (2.7 cf)
    Window tint
Two tone ultra leather door panels
Kenwood Receiver w/Front Aux Input (no other electronic/stereo changes)
That is pretty much it. We did not add any custom bumpers, wheels or tire upgrades at this time. These can all wait for later. Also, we did not add the Espar Diesel Preheater yet due to the costs, another option we can add later if needed. This will also be my every day driver.

Thanks again everyone for all of the help, you made these decisions so much easier and well informed. Now the waiting game begins...

The custom storage cabinet on the driver's side of the van in the rear is 17" tall. It is designed to store the porta potti and is also weight bearing. We will have tie downs installed above it and it will be used to stack all of our miscellanious gear on trips.

Additional insulation for fridge (2.7 cf)

^^ What is this? custom or a new option? Just curious...

Sounds like a good build. I give the leather and the SMB 4x4 a big

Thanks Jage. The additional insulation is a tip taken from Erik at badgertrek. A friend of mine who ordered a SMB about 2.5 months ago told me that SMB will now do this as well. It will hopefully have two benefits. First, the fridge should be more efficient. Secondly, this should also make it quieter.
