I recently completed a case mod to allow permanent USB in a protected case. I'm backing this up with the purchase of a AA to USB charger- hoping to push out my battery life outside the SMB. It remains to be tested.

On 110v I've managed 11,318 consecutive photos over 37 hours. The bad news is it was the most boring day and a half Colorado has ever seen. I have yet to get a round trip (1 hr+) on my dash cam, so that will be my next test.

I was thing the same. That's one big PDF and I'll be sure to look at what you did...I'm thinking that is the mod you made right?

I can't find any mention of bluetooth in the GoPro Manual, website, H3 menu or internet search. Where are you getting this information from?

Great idea on that with the trimming of the cable. I've been playing with the powering it through the rear BUS port, as I figured I could get a better dust/proof seal on the back than the side. But unlike the H2 you can't simply power it through that port. I'll have to try you side idea with trimming the cable.
