Portable BBQ Grills - suggestions?
Looking to get a small portable grill for those nights when we feel like grilling a nice steak or piece of fish at camp.
I'd like to go w/ a charcoal grill ala the old Weber I had for years before I went to a gas grill.
I'd like to keep size to a minimum so it would fit in my Baja box and big enough for a coulpe of burgers, 1 or 2 steaks, you get the idea. Nothing too huge.
I saw this briefly at the recent Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake... http://www.snowpeak.com/lux/stoves/bbqbox.html
Anyone have one or anything similar they use and like?
Thoughts???
Thanks

We have this unit and it works well. However, i wish it had much more flame adjustment. The other thing i don't like about it, is it gets real dirty really easy (not a big fan of stainless). Also, i have replaced all the hardware on it, because it rattles loose on washboard roads. But don't listen to me, im a BBQ snob. It's a nice unit overall and has held up great to our abuse.

Got it at costco.. smokin' deal. Seen the same stainless BBQ re-badged for way more (over $100).
I would run charcoal, but i get tired of packing in and out the coals and having enough charcoal to last.

we have used the Weber , Igloo , Coleman Combo Grill and the Snow Peak C 130 and is the best built and the most versatile , offering feature's that the other's have not addressed ! It is also three time's the cost of the other's and substantially larger than the previously mentioned unit's . We now pack according to our specific activity and length of stay .

Grill
Regarding my previous post , I asked my Bride which of the three other grill's that she liked the best and she said the Coleman combo grill because of the separate higher BTU burner for heating side dish's
sauce's , soup's , beans etc.

The dimension's for the Ck-130 are 9 3/4 x 14 x 5 great for short trips the one that my wife likes dimension's are 22 5/8 x 14 3/8 x 5 1/2 and is the one we use for larger meal's (12) GRANDSON'S and has an optional carrying case , Leg Stand and side tray's . very bulky with all of her accessory's but a very nice unit . You should be able to see these unit's on www.snowpeak.com/lux/stoves/twin.html .

We've been using the same Olympian Portable Super Gas Grill from Camping World since we got our van in 2001. It is about the same size as the smaller Snow Peak (but thicker) and stays clean on the outside. I had to change out the screw holding in the burner (too many bumpy roads) but everything else has held together. I also added some aluminum channels to the bottom of it so that it would fit onto a Coleman stove stand. I'm completely satisfied with it...

Randy ,
This look's to be very useful and with 7 or 8 Grill/Stove/BBQ I am not going to show this to my Wife . The utility of this unit would rate very high in my book, Thank you for sharing

This one works great for me. Much less space than a weber. Less dust in storage since it is 'sealed'. Room for the charcoal and fluid inside the box too. Latch hold everything inside.
My tailgating grill!
