Beginning the Build...HighTop Done, new pics 8/12

So, this weekend we removed the bulkhead that was installed in our van - it was bolted so far forward, we couldn't recline or move the seats to a good driving/riding position.

We've also made some other decisions:

YES to:
- ARB fridge/freezer.
- House battery with inverter.
- High top with window sliders
- Suspended bed, with storage underneath
- Cushioned Rubber Mat
- Swapping out the side mirrors for towing mirrors
- Reflectix for the back windows, installed with snaps and elastic cords for easy install & remove

MAYBE to:
- Solar panels

NO to:
- Sink or cabinets
- Shower
- Propane heater

Now we're calling local installation places to see if we can stop by to gawk at their products.

Sandi

Without the bulkhead you can get a seat swivel now.

Also photos.

LOL!

I don't have pics w/o the bulkhead yet, but I do have pics from when we bought the van a couple weeks ago. I'll download them off the camera to satisfy my fan club.

Now, to find a name for it...you know, I've never named a vehicle before. This is definitely a first!

Re: Beginning the Build...

Such a beautiful blank canvas you have there with just door windows, the silver paint and those aluminum rims!

Why change the mirrors???

DH doesn't like them, especially for backing up the van when the trailer is attached. The top part is too high to see the trailer well, and the lower half is too magnified for it to be of use with the towing. So he wants regular mirrors, with a convex "button mirror" on it...
