Re: 1998 4WD E350 in Lake Tahoe

I'm local if someone wants me to check it out. Seems to be on the high end of the price range to my uneducated eye. (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

I asked him the miles. his response; "226k but has a newer motor and trans. It is perfectly maintained."

"Is perfectly maintained..." but I'm guessing it wasn't well maintained before the motor and trans were swapped.

No kidding. Even so-so maintenance will get you a long ways in the 5.4L

Heck, I go as long as 12k between oil changes and 100k for trans fluid and I drive the cr@p out of it!

Re: 1998 4WD E350 in Lake Tahoe

It would be hard to put a 4x4 and a van together and get under $15,500 but then again that mileage is on everything (unless he put the 4x4 on at 200,000)

He does not know when the newer motor/trans were installed. 4x4 was installed when new. I will keep looking, to many unknowns.

Re: 1998 4WD E350 in Lake Tahoe

IMHO, the price seems little optimistic. Mine has 150K less miles and I didn't pay a whole lot more. Adfree, I may be talked out of mine if you're interested, PM me.

Good Luck,
Ray
