ANOTHER EB, psd, quigley, '96 - $14k

http://bend.craigslist.org/rvs/2360976460.html

feeling like an EB pimp these days! Higher miles, but looks to be in good shape. Talked with the guy briefly as I considered abandoning the home build for the already-built and it sounds like a great rig.

I saw that too, right here in Bend! My heart skipped a few beats until i saw it was well on its way to 300k miles. That settled me down. Thats a lot of miles. I hear the motors go a long time, but that IS a long time. And there's the rest of the van as well. You'd probably need to be prepared to put quite a bit of money into the thing. I guess that's why it's a diesel 4x4 SMB for only $14k.

It's been listed a bunch of times now (all within a few days) in Bend and Portland.

I still think it is a heck of a value. I really don't want an RB, otherwise I would seriously be considering this 'upgrade'. High miles probably isn't too big of a deal if it has been well maintained. Having to put a new engine or tranny would certainly put it out of my budget personally, but I think you'd still have a pretty good value for the rig as a whole even after that.

hmmmm... cruise control, air conditioning, modern dash layout, better mpg - sooo tempting. Especially when I get to look forward to rebuilding my leaky power steering pump this weekend!
