Re: Lowest PSI to ride with 265/75/16
I will give it a shot. 3950 kg equals 8690 pounds and let's assume it's about equal front and rear, mine is and weighs about the same. Divide 8690 by 4 wheels and you get 2172 pounds. Your tires appear to be rated for either 3417 pounds at the 123 factor or 3086 pounds at the 120 factor with a max pressure of 80 psi. Not sure which to use, but I'll go with the most conservative number of 3086. Divide your weight of 2172 pounds per wheel by the 3086 pounds rating and you get about 64%. Take that times your max pressure of 80 psi and you come up with 56 psi. If you use the higher rating of 3417 pounds max per tire, you get 70% or about 51 psi. I would use the 56 psi. Also, if you add more weight when loaded for a trip, extra people, gear, etc., you need to include that. The E350 one ton vans ride like trucks.
Good luck
