Propane gas detector going off while in storage

Hi All,
The other day, I heard the gas detector in our van beeping. I reset it and a few days later it was beeping again. The tank is turned off. Any thoughts on what is going on?

Check your batteries as beeping can indicate low voltage, but while you are at it, check how old your propane detector is. They have a limited life.

Agree - probably just time to change it out. Believe most of them either specify an expiration date, or simply state to replace "60 months after installation".

I think that’s the issue. Was just reading they should be replaced every 5-7 years. If it’s the original, it would be 7 years old.
Thanks!
