Thanks to this thread, and this fan
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-1984MRG
I was able to replace both the front and side fans and fix my A/C blown fuse issue. Both were seized after a trip to the desert last Fall and too many MUD puddles! This fan is an exact match for both! Thanks!

Just replaced that very fan. The old one was fossilized, fuse blown. Rusted out phillips head screws most annoying. Replaced all with stainless. Gave the condenser a good wash. Both 12v and 120v AC now work well.
I'm in the process of de rusting and re coating the 120v compressor. I am cleaning the hanging brackets down to bare metal, painting, and undercoating.
I've cleaned up the compressor and repainted it.
I'm thinking that spraying the compressor with undercoat might cause a heat build up problem. Any thoughts? Thanks GH

Another Starcool question: The 120v compressor has low side and high side valves on it.
When servicing the A/C should these be hooked up to the gauge set as well as the set under the hood? Thanks GH

Do you have the manual? If not, there are a few posted here on the forum (I know I posted a 1998 one).

The front and rear systems (12v and 110) are tied together, so I assume you only need to hook up under the hood. But I’m not an A/C expert.

I have the Starcool III manual that came with the van. It makes no mention of valves on the 120v compressor.
The automotive A/C is, except for the factory condenser behind the radiator, is isolated in 120v mode according to the manual.
The manual also states that the 120v compressor is isolated in driving mode.
My question is: does hooking up the under hood valves read the entire system?
It helps to have the answer prior to taking it to the A/C shop because no shops seems to be familiar with this system.
The valves on the 120v compressor look to be a real pain to access.
I don't want to hook them up if I don't have to.
Thanks GH

I'm almost 100% positive you just hook up to the under-hood fittings. I just had work done on my Starcool last year and I know for a fact they didn't do anything with the 110v system part of things. That's just there to take over for the 12v side when plugged in. It's one set of lines for the entire system.

Yeah when my system was low, the 120 compressor wouldn't put out any cold air then after the correct freon was put in it kicked out cold air while on shore power.
