My version of downsizing. I recently bought a 2014 Toyota Tacoma 4dr truck. I'm planning on getting a tent (roof top tent) that is in a self contained box that mounts on a rack that goes across the...

I've been thinking of selling mine lately, just don't use it much. Had it for 2 1/2yrs only put about 6,000mi on it ( about 51,000 on it now). See the pics in my gallery, EB-51, 5.4 V8. Since those...

Any recommendations for a new van battery?

My van battery is only 2 yrs old but it was bought at a Walmart. It drops below 12 volts in like 2 days sitting in the driveway so I think its shot.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Had Bilstein shocks installed, original shocks had about 50K miles on an 04' EB 250 with no signs of leaking just thought they may need replacing. The van was a little too bouncey or porpoising and...

Re: Carrying a propane tank inside the van while traveling.

How about this hitch box: https://www.discountramps.com/cargo-box.htm or this one: https://www.discountramps.com/hitch-cargo-box.htm the second would allow me to still use my motorcycle trailer.

Re: Carrying a propane tank inside the van while traveling.

I'm thinking about buying a storage box that uses the trailer hitch, I could use it for the propane and a generator. Also might come in handy for any wet or muddy clothes or whatever I don't want in...

Re: Charging at home question

I thought I read in my manual that, if you are not going to drive the van for an extended period of time, you should plug it into your home 110v for 24 hrs once a month.

Re: Will the Yamaha 2400 gen run my Starcool A/C?

Thanks all, I guess the 2400 won't do. Now another question, can these generators be carried inside the van without special venting? I assume there would be gas fumes and maybe left over exhaust...

Will the Yamaha 2400 gen run my Starcool A/C?

I'm looking at getting a portable gen, trying to decide on 2-2000's or one 2400 watt Yamaha. The 2400 is cheaper that 2 -2000's, but will a 2400 one run my Starcool A/C? My van is an 04' Ford that...
