Colorado or Bust
So, I'm packed and ready. Three or so weeks out to CO and back, sort of. Not really sure.
Going to stop on the way to keep looking for a friend of a friend (and bring up four other volunteers I'm picking up at the airport on the way).
Hopefully we find Ed, and then I can leisurely cruise out to CO to meet my brother and nephew, who are flying in next weekend.. If not, I will leave later and drive quicker.
Then it's a week with 3 SMBs, 4 motorcycles, 3 adults and 2 children bumming around. Then off to CCV for a new top. And then my plan sort of disintegrates, and we'll figure things out as we go..

Re: Colorado or Bust
Hey do you know anyone with a motorcycle hitch mount in the CO area? If I could borrow/rent that then I can bring both my bikes out. If not I can only get the 50 in the basket tray hitch mount.
Let me know!

Re: Colorado or Bust
Well, we found Ed. He had passed on a while ago, but as his father said, now they can take him home..
It was an amazing effort here, and incredible that after drones, dog teams, and professional SAR teams combing for over a week, our ragtag band of friends and family found him.

Later today I will start a leisurely drive to Colorado.

Re: Colorado or Bust
After a little too much drink for all of us last night, we got up, cleaned up the cabin, and then a bunch of us escorted family members down the steep trail and through the brush to the location where the body was found. It was rough.
Finally got out of there around 4ish, and am now camped at a crappy state park off 50 in NV somewhere. The road noise from 50 is a bit annoying, but I'm exhausted and fairly emotionally drained, so this will be good enough. Now for a couple beers, some mac and cheese, and a good night sleep.

Yup. It was a strangely joyous night last night. A good Irish wake.
