Campground application for Macs, Canada version
I'm a huge fan of the Ultimate Public Campground Project application for Macs, and the very similar app for iOS. There's an Android app using the same database of campgrounds, but I don't think it's the same developer.
So now there's a Mac desktop application for the campgrounds in Canada. Coverage seems excellent; seems to cover everything in the west, although I haven't been in a while so can't confirm all the forestry sites, although some of those never seemed to rise to the level of "campgrounds" anyway.

That's going to complicate our summer plans. Low gas prices and some campground help make BC more attractive than ever. Port it to iOS and things get really interesting.

There are none, AFAIK. Rob is talking about a desktop version but the dame developer who created an iOS version (and Android, apparently) for US campgrounds. My comment was a wishlist.
EDIT: The app says there is an iOS version but nothing shows in the app store. Perhaps it's coming.

Re: Campground application for Macs, Canada version
The iOS app is available here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ulti...974998633?mt=8.
There's already an update in the works that adds 254 new campgrounds, mostly in BC. We'll try our best to update the app monthly as we do with the US Campground app. Thanks!
BTW, an Android version will be available soon.

Re: Campground application for Macs, Canada version
Just wanted to let folks know that the Android version of the Ultimate Canada Public Campground Project is now available in the Playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...grounds.canada
We realize that it is missing some of the BC Forest Service locations as well as some city parks; we're working every day to flesh out the data and it will be included in monthly updates.
The Android, iOS and Mac apps all use the exact same data, updated every month with new locations and corrections.

Re: Campground application for Macs, Canada version
Let me add another Modesitt gem, Road Trip Planner. It's a Mac app that uses Apple Maps to create detailed trip plans. There is an iOS app that let's you view the desktop trip but has limited editing abilities. While Road Trip may encourage my OC traits, it can be a big help, esp. for longer trips. My only complaint is you can't limit speed or driving hours but that's an Apple shortcoming the app -- and its users -- have to live with until Apple decides to acknowledge the real world. In the meantime, there is an activities feature you can use to delay time. Or, you can add stops along the way, which is what we do anyway.

Don, there's now an iOS Road Trip Planner:

Enjoy!
