Thanks everyone, Too many weekends spent alone in a wilderness camp reading trip reports and seeing places I want to visit made it an easy decision. I built the van to be used, not to sit and it draws me to it like metal filings to a magnet. I just couldn't stand missing out on another summer of travel, that and the final nudge was getting an Email from a former employer telling me I had money sitting in an account with them for almost 30 years that must be taken. Nearly enough to last until I begin to collect on my retirement accounts. So, I'm looking forward to seeing new places and meeting lots of like minded folks. I just wish they would hurry up and hire someone so I can get out of the swamp camp. (and before the mosquitos wake up)

So, as soon as they hire my replacement and I give him a little training I'm out of here and free to travel at will. First will be another trip South through British Columbia, after that, Moab. From there I'm open to ideas. Let the fun begin...............

Sounds like a plan, perhaps we can meet for some trail running and camping somewhere along the way. I'll let you know as soon as I have some dates. Looking forward to it..........

At this rate you will just have to tell us all where your camping along your route and we can meet you there with the beverages!

Sounds great. Some of the best trips I've done have been meeting new folks with local knowledge of new places to explore. Last years epic trip to the Northern tip of Vancouver islands beaches was a favorite. No way I would ever have chanced going some of those places alone, not to mention I may never have found them anyway. Another winner was the hot springs tour in B.C. I'm ready now, plans are forming. Get me out of here..............

Congrats. If you make it as far as Tennessee..................well, I probably won't be here. I might've taken a job on a remote Alaskan Island.
Enjoy the journey while you're still able! I recommend spending some time in Moab and exploring the Colorado and Utah back country. It's spectacular, and sometimes a bit warmer.
