I would like to know as well. I used por-15, with por-15 chassis black on top, then fresh hydronic fluid on top of that. I know I live in the salt belt,but that combo wasn't enough.
When will the environmentalist do something useful, and get salt on the roads banned? Not just lobby for clean air, and water.

If the van has a full interior build like a SMB I wouldn't pull the body since the entire interior will have to be stripped. Not worth it, yank the motor out the front.

We use a semi flat black paint. For those of you that get a ton of salt it may not be the best unless you want to maintain it frequently. We've used POR-15 on some frames too but this one was nice and rust free. Cleaned it with a wire wheel and elbow grease before painting.

Seems like there are a few less stems with Eastwood rust encapsulator.
The whole nine yards with POR15 is marine clean>metal ready (to etch the metal and give it a phosphate coating)>POR15>paint
Ujoint, do you also use POR15 on your axle rebuilds?
