Correct inner front axle seals, '07 SMB 4x4
My van is waiting at the shop, front diff and axles disassembled, waiting for the correct inner axle seals to be found. The p/n on the parts list from SMB indicates a Ford part number, but the seals were wrong. Getting them from Ford for an F-350 front end were wrong. Dynatrac/Spicer has not returned calls probably because of the virus, but they built the unit. Anyone know what the correct seals are for my front axle? Gotta get that thing out of the shop!

I had a similar issue months ago, gave my Shop the spec page with all the part numbers on it but none of the bearings worked. Afterward I remembered Both my axles were replaced after the initial Sportsmobile build (Dana 80 for rear, and a 70 on the front) - if I recall correctly, they said they reordered using the numbers that we’re on the old parts??? Is it possible your mechanics can do the same?

My axles have never been rebuilt. Original 2007 SMB build.

Looking back through my notes I used Spicer 36487 seals as listed on the SMB parts list on my 2005 build with ProRock 60 front axle. I did the work myself (never again for this job) and ordered off of Amazon.
Good luck!

There should be a manufacturers number embossed on the seal it self. Putting that number in Google should pull up new ones. Or, the shop should be able to measure the ID, OD, and width. Then any competent parts store or bearing supply should be able to match them up.

Original SMB build implies a Dynatrac Prorock60 axle which is essentially a beefed up Dana60. Axle tubes are the same and no doubt so is the inner axle seal. So, the part# in the 4x4 sticky is probably correct.
Give Cory at Dynatrac a call. 714-596-4461 ext. 204. He's the Expeditor. Leave a message and he will call you back. That's been my experience. Usually within the hour.

What I used in 2013. Just note the skf seal in the lower left is trumpet shaped and googling the part number seems to show photos of two types of seals. I think, not sure, the one I used in 13' is now prefixed with CR as in part number CR15692.

There is also one other seal that I'm not sure is listed on my sheet from SMB. I replaced with the SKF 400450, which they call a wheel V- ring. More of a dust seal than a grease seal on the back of the spindle.

Yes, you are referring to the dust boot/spindle bearing seal, thrust washer, and outer axle seal. They sit outside the metal dust shield or slinger on the outer axle stub. I can confirm they are not listed in the 4x4 sticky and were also not in my SMB build sheet. Dana Spicer 700014. https://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/p16...s_1978_to.html

My '07 is a stock from SMB prorock axle. This is what fits mine according to my notes.
Front Inner Axle Seal: Spicer # 36487; Dynatrac # DA60-3254-A
