Custom control arms

Hi all,

I’m looking to move my axle a bit forward for clearance purposes and hopefully a caster increase. I have a 2000 quigley with their own custom arms and a kingpin Dana 60. I don’t have my alignment spec sheet with me but remember being around 0 toe and camber, and about 3.5deg caster. First thing I gotta ask - can I get more caster out of just the kingpins? I don’t need to move the wheel much so it would save a lot of headache and money.

Assuming I can’t, I’ve been considering installing Johnny joints at the aft mount so I have adjustability. Have any of you done something similar? I will need to cut the control arms of course. The problem so far is finding proper weld-in tube inserts / bungs. Quigley tells me they used 2.0” OD tubing with a wall thickness of 0.14”. So to me this means ID is 1.72” which means I will never find an appropriate size bung. I’d think I could use a larger one and have a machinist mill it down but I can’t seem to find anyone to do that either.

Anyone been there and done that? Or at least have an armchair prognosis?

Thanks!
