Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

The popular combo of ATX Mojave Teflon and 285/75/16 BFG AT. SMB 4x4 conversion so 4-6" of lift depending on age...

No rubbing ever, even when flexed and turning full-lock.

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

Here my 2001 with 37" BFG-MT on 9" Mickey Thompson
about 3-4 inch lift as i want to keep the van as low as possible so
front and rear fender had to been cut to prevent the tires scratching while twisting

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

I certainly can't be one to talk here, but have another suggestion to avoid mucking it up. If you're going to quote, please delete the image from the quote, which duplicates the same images over and over, or just avoid the quote completely and call the person by name and then add your comment. I'm trying to avoid commenting on awesome rigs I've seen here for the first time.

example: Hey tlg, awesome rig! Hey schluchtenflitzer, yours too!

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

this thread is a great idea! however imho, there no reason to post any info if you dont have it all for a thread like this. wheel fitment is a lot more than just buying a wheel. offsets are very important to get the look you are after and the incorrect offset can ruin how good a wheel can look. all reputable wheel companies should have the offset either on a label with all other stats, or stamped on the backside of the wheel face or barrel and will look similar to this.

if your posting, please include wheel size (diameter and width), load rating, and offset along with brand names. it would also be helpful to other to know if you are using wheel spacers or not.

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

And here's another... WELD Racing Forged 16"s with 285/75/16 Toyo AT2s. Been real impressed with the AT2s for traction and road noise.. Wish I went ahead and trimmed the already trimmed fenders a bit more to clear the 295 AT2s which come in the Extreme version (even deeper lugs, similar AT tread pattern).

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

Here is what I run on. They are Ultra Wheel 195 Crusher Satin Black with Diamond Cut Face wheels. The specs are 18 x 8.5" with a 12mm offset and a load rating of 3250 lbs. The are wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Radial LT275/70R18 (33x11.5R18) tires. Their specs are Load E rated, 80 psi, 3640 lbs, Rim Range 7-9", Section Width 11", Tread width 8.8" and an overall diameter of 33.4". I like the tread pattern. It doesn't seem to pack up with mud but will grab the occasional small rack and hold onto it. The van has a 4" lift. I get a slight rub when fully articulated at the back of the front fender when turning. It has never presented an issue.
Cheers
Darryl

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

Skyrat - I have no idea on what model # they are, haven't been able to find them online at all. I do know they are from '02ish - took awhile to track down a matching black center cap to replace one which went MIA on my maiden trip home

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery

Eagle Alloy 050 series
Big O Bigfoot AT 285-70-17
I chose the Big O tires after researching all the big names. Better warranty, better price, made in the USA. Been really pleased so far.
