My neighbor growing up had an Oldsmobile dealership. He got the rights to sell these babies and owned one himself.
I remember as a young man getting a look inside and have to say, this vehicle was what got me into the idea of "efficient RV'ing". It was WAY cool.

I spotted one of these in Key West back in 1990, and thought it was pretty cool -- especially with that BMW badge affixed. (I guess it does have a BMW engine.)

Yep, a turbo diesel no less, and a 5 speed manual! Thanks for the pic to show how short they are. I thought it would be much taller.

I guess that answers my question about whether or not there would be standing headroom.
