Welcome to Texas. A bit late, but Texoma's West Burns run is great place to camp. Has a good mile's worth of natural sand beaches all on main span looking west (great for sunsets). Great fishing too.

Hi Ron,
Just saw this because I don't get on the forum much anymore. Congratulations on the sale of your business and your move to Texas. That's quite a change. But I know you will love everything about it except the occasional hurricane. But that beats snow any day.
I wish you well my friend!
Mac

Yes I did..
It is our winter house so I am in Jackson Hole and the wife is at the California house. I did slip down Thursday and put up our storm shutters and grabbed some import stuff and left just before it hit. Of course we didn't know it was going to be a direct hit. Being a stilt house I'm not too worried about flooding, however I am worried about the 140 mile an hour winds blowing it away. I'm still traveling back to Jackson from there and haven't seen any of the videos so not sure about the devastation. But the wife and I along with Betty the Sportsmobile Are safe.
Thanks for thinking of us.
Ron
PS. I will be looking for a new Winterplace!!

It's not looking too good in Rockport. Got a high school friend that lives there but can't get a hold of him. How long until you can find out about your house?

I've seen video of the houses behind mine, one is missing a porch and the other a few trees mine looks good from what I can tell . It's a new house and built pretty well. Three blocks to the south total devastation four blocks to the north also total devastation. I think I may have gotten lucky!
