We'll see you there. No idea when we will arrive or leave. But we should be there for NYE, assuming my minor surgery goes smoothly.

Re: Anza Borrego over New years (Was Mojave)
Great to get updates from those finalizing their travel plans. We have 14 so far with a couple of maybees. Please let me know via PM if you need/want to coordinate with others to caravan into the camp site. Many of you have indicated you know the area and can get to the camp spot unassisted. Several will not arrive until 12/31. Folks are coming from Seattle, Boulder,Guam,San Francisco,San Diego, LA, Santa Rosa, Temecula,Hollywood and a couple of outpatient facilities apparently! A few are on their maiden voyages. There will be dogs. Maybe a cat or 2. Again.....please throw in a stick or two of firewood to share at the campfire. NYE will include a potluck and lighted Bocce Ball. I suspect those more gifted than myself may provide additional night time visual stimulation. Anyone recall the laser light at the Race Track year before last I think? Again...again this is not an exclusive group. If you can join us last minute please do. I lied about Guam.

Re: Anza Borrego over New years (Was Mojave)
Another Newby wanting to meet & greet and put some faces behind the post names. I'll be there on the 28 and leave just before NYE to meet the Fam for the traditional Rose Parade Melee. Will also bring my Dog, a happy Westy
Anyone has the GPS coordinates?

Ask to keep the titanium, and turn it into a bottle opener or something.
Yes, I'm a titanium junkie....

I'd totally want to keep that! (I wonder if they [can] sterilize and re-use it?)

hell yes! id want it too, not only cause its wicked looking and it was part of my body for a while, but mainly because i paid for it and I want whats mine!!
i tired to get the hospital to give us back my wifes gallbladder after her surgery, but they wouldnt. said it was a biohazzard. all i could think to say was "well we arent going to use it as fishbait or anything. cant we just keep it in a jar?" he chuckled and said sorry, we cant give it to you. i said, you wouldnt be giving it to her, she already owns it. youd be giving it back to her. he chuckled again and walked off
