Breakfast in Julian, soak in Agua Caliene Hot springs
I was inspired by the desert sculptures in the sheep canyon meetup report a while back and decided to surprise my four year old by taking a trip and driving up on a dragon head out in borrego Springs.
We're planning on bundling the kids up early Sunday morning and driving down to Julian for breakfast, then heading over to explore around Borrego Springs , then heading to Agua Caliente for a soak and overnight, then doing some more exploring before heading home.
Does anyone have a favorite breakfast spot with some ambiance in Julian they could recommend?
How about a nice secluded spot around Agua Caliente to set up camp for the night?
On a side note, the one time I was in Julian way back when, I remember a few ostrich farms where you could buy ostrich eggs. We'll be spending Easter on a beach in Baja this year and I thought it would be fun to include a giant egg in their sand-dune Easter egg hunt. Maybe fill it full of m-n-m's like an Easter piñata...
Anyway, if anyone will be in the area Sunday or Monday we'd love to meet up and get to know other Sportsmobilers!
Thanks,
-Mark & Mary...
