Unbelievable Dave. I usually pay $3.00 or less all over the Eastern U.S. a little more up north but WOW!

Diesel prices seem to be higher in the northeast, for whatever reason. Generally on par with super with an additional bump during the Winter when production switches to winter diesel along with a focus on heating oil.

Stations were running 2.37-2.45 before. Today we saw some at 2.42 but the larger chains were already up to 2.71.

$2.71. Not bad looking at what some of you are getting bent over for... also what I paid the last few weekends I filled up.
I use this site wherever we go: Boise Gas Prices - Find Cheap Diesel Prices in Idaho
Just punch in your city and make sure your getting the best deal you can. Just understand the prices aren’t always what that site says they are. 9 times outta 10 they are, but I’ve been burned a couple of times.

Best I saw in VA was $2.03/gal for regular at a Citgo on US1 just south of Petersburg.

Cheapest 87 in town is currently $3.45. I didn't use to price shop fuel, but seeing fluctuations of nearly 50 cents per gallon on the same block made me change my ways.
My mother in law gets some sort of gas rewards for shopping at Albertson's/Vons, but she doesn't use their gas station (too far away from her) so she lets us use it... usually gets us $1 off per gallon for our first 25 gallons. I don't get out much in recent years so that covers the majority of the van's monthly fuel purchases.

It's all relative of course. What I pay when living in CA is much higher than what I pay when in OH no matter what. The point being it was a .30 hike overnight and about .15 more than the highest price in Dayton all summer. No way the spike in oil has had a chance to effect the consumer market yet, so they are just jacking up the price because they can.

But the current American president said he can talk to Saudi Arabia and have the price of gas changed. (Btw I'm not kidding)
