King of the hammers

The King of the hammers race is coming up in a couple weeks. If you don't know what its about, check out this video. Anyone here planning to attend or wanting to explore the Nevada desert after the race?

I went a couple of years ago & had a blast! Not sure yet about this year, but I might go out for at least a day.

One thing I would highly recommend is to find a camp site that's up off the valley floor. It was like being in a constant dust storm.

Yup, there is zero doubt it can be dusty, but fortunately it's not hard to move out of it when it's time to set up camp. A year or two ago, it had rained a lot in the week prior, so the dust was minimal, hopefully with all the California rain this year it will be another low dust event.

For anyone going, I'd love to see some firsthand pics of the Bronco Raptor, which is scheduled to make its public debut there.
