Re: Retrofitting a Isotherm refrigerator

All...

I checked our sales receipt and we have an Isotherm Cruise 130 ASU Refrigeratror with freezer compartment, 12/24v DC only, Part No. 1130EE1AA0000:

http://isotherm-parts.com/cruise-130...rd-p-1713.html

The "proud" descriptor refers to the door sticking out past the cabinet...compare the drawing of the unit with the "proud" flange with one on the link from the above url. I would not want the proud feature since it would just get in the way. Look at the photos of my complete installation and you can see that the front of the unit is flush with the counter above it.

Our frig has the hinge on the left. In our EB-50 floor plan, my wife can open the frig while I drive and retreive a bottle of water from the door storage which is very handy. When we load it, the door will swing completely open...if the hinge was on the right, I think that the open door would hit the turned around passenger seat.

Let me know if there are other questions...

Jack

Re: Retrofitting a Isotherm refrigerator

Thanks yvrr, I just figured it out!

Older diagram shows flush mount: http://www.isotherm-parts.com/PDF/dimen ... 0FLUSA.pdf

Part numbers of mounts:
SGB 00082 AA Mounting frame 3-side black (PROUD, I assume, that comes with it)
SGB 00083 AA Mounting frame 3-side flush black

http://www.isotherm-parts.com/PDF/parts ... -CR130.pdf

Isotherm says they drop ship most orders, and will do custom stuff (like left opening with ASU for example) if asked. Perhaps I can ask them to include the flush mount instead of the proud mount.
Why would you every want a proud mount?

Yeah, I am torn on the door opening. My daughter very rarely gets things from fridge as we drive, most of the time the door is opened is from the barn doors or when I am sitting inside.

Re: Retrofitting a Isotherm refrigerator

I always liked the idea of a fridge drawer (maybe a separate freezer drawer?), though that would require a lot more modification.

I like the CR130 layout, and after last weeks camping failure of the Norcold, I really need to ditch it.

Cool that you figured it out, with the various part numbers, etc.

I think oftentimes it is because there is not enough depth in a compartment for a given flush-mount model to fit ,but by having the door project slightly, it will still work (and ventilate). Might be preferable in some cases to the alternative of a smaller fridge.

Still need to check if those numbers are current.
