Clicking

Can someone please tell me why this is suddenly clicking every ten seconds and draws down the battery? It’s on the left side under the rear seat.

It's a solenoid and has likely died if it's draining your batteries but I'll let folks who know a little more help you troubleshoot. Can you give the specs of the vehicle? Sportsmobile conversion or other, battery types/sizes etc.?

It’s a 2006 SMB 6.0. Everything was stock when I bought it back in 2015, and I haven’t done any upgrades to it.

And unfortunately I suck at all things electrical. I replaced batteries once, but I have pretty much never had a problem so have been lazy about learning more about it!

You replaced your house batteries or starting batteries? If your house batteries are dead, it may cause that solenoid to fault open, or in your case constantly open/shut and back drain your starting batteries. I am assuming this is some sort of battery separator or isolator.
Check your house battery voltage and report back. You can try plugging in to shore power to charge things back up and to see if the clicking stops when plugged in and charging.

Definitely quits clicking when charging or running. When I turn smb off, it doesn’t click for about 5 minutes, then faintly starts again and then after about 20 minutes is loud. I replaced batteries and cables a few years ago.

It is a Surepower Separator, most likely 1315-200. Do you have solar? and what battery is being drawn down? I suspect you have a battery going bad or is low.

You can pull the little green tab wire off(ground), this will disable the Surepower and you can focus on which side the issue is on.

It is possible you have enough solar to bring the house batteries high enough that the separator will connect (Click 1) then if the starter bat is bad or going bad it will draw down and disconnect (click 2). this cycle can continue until the sun goes down.

It is very possible especially if start assist is hooked up has been masking a starter battery issue.
