I have the CFX50 and love it. If you put frozen items like food in it they stay pretty dang cold at the bottom when set to 35 degrees if not frozen. Anything lower than that everything freezes.

As far as drinks go, I still carry a small yeti or rtic. I most be an alcoholic because I drink my beer faster then the fridge will cool them down. I also don’t want to have to get in and out of the van all night to get a beer. Even more so when the wife goes to sleep and I’m sitting by the fire. She would put a stop to my drinking if I had to open the van door every time I wanted another drink.

I built my own by modifying a 3.2cf Igloo Energy Star refrig. Cost me about $130. Works fine for us.
At 70F ambient requires 540Wh/day to keep refrig section 42F. At 90F ambient requires 760Wh/day. I am always tweaking and "playing" with it trying to make improvements.

I bought a ARB 50QT at BCOR with a vendor special this week as it was a better deal. If anyone wants the CFX50 let me know, I will sell it at cost as the promotion ended yesterday I believe, total was 831.54 (USD). Pickup somewhere in WA close to the border. I can ship at buyers expense otherwise I'm returning it.

Dometic CFX 65DZ

Got the fridge in its temporary place until I figure out my modular cabinets. Man, this things works great! Picked up the PB40 for power until The house batteries go in. The fridge uses just over an average amp per hour, so lots of juice.

We discovered one of the nice things about a portable fridge last week. Had a celebration at the house and guests were bringing more food than our kitchen fridge could hold. Pulled the Dometic into the house and voila! More refrigerator. Seems to work great, indoors and out.

Oops, sorry! Slid over the “L” on that one. Yep, the Dometic PLB 40, a 40-amp Lithium battery pack, similar to a Goal Zero, with various connections. Light, nice handle, charges quick from DC or AC.

Nice! We love our fridge, have also been using it as a overflow fridge in the house as well. I setup at 210 AH AGM battery to run it and the rest of our stuff, currently testing to see how long the battery will last with the fridge set at 0*C, its been just over 24 hours so far.

Kinda wish I got a slightly bigger fridge, oh well.
