How to install solar and wiring to E350 pop top

My 2006 6.0 4x4 R50 documents say that it's pre-wired for solar. Can any of you tell me how to find the wiring and information to perform pop-top and wiring installation and activation? Be great to hear brand recommendations and panel size/capacity as well. Thanks.

Mine was pre-wired for solar by SMB as well. What I had was a solar controller and wires that were run to the driver’s side corner of the penthouse shelf. They were under the cloth and capped off. Once you decide on the panels you want and mounting scheme it requires drilling a hole through the top (on the outside of the fabric), routing the wires to the outside of the penthouse fabric and connecting the wires to the solar panels. You probably want a fuse in this circuit. There are a lot of ideas for panel mounting and sealing the wire feed through on the forum. I have been using a 100 watt Renogy panel and for my setup that has worked well. Depending on your requirements you may need higher wattage. Lot’s other details to think about, but there are plenty of resources on the forum.
