Thanks Guys!

I think we've decided to go with the propane option from SMB! I think sdwindansea says it all about getting a warm shower after a winter morning of surfing! Thanks for all of your input.

Cheers!

LOL
You got to be an engineer or architect! I always chuckle when people use that term "Hot water heater".

Forgot to mention that a coffee pot or urn makes a great point of use water heater if you have electricity...also comes in handy for coffee! 12v pots are available too.

Some people with teardrop trailers will add an urn to the galley and plumb in the tap to a gravity fed faucet...neat.

Wouldn't you get dirty water?

And with the coffee pot too!

I believe he said "urn" not "urinal."

I prefer large coffee pot. Urn makes me think of cremation ashes, but urn is what they call it...

Get it

You will love the hot water heater before and after you get into the water during Winter Surf Sessions , and after a long Trail Ride or Climb , I installed Suburbans in the last three 4X4 Vans and had Sportmobile add to our EB-50 without any real sacrifice in space . Sportmobile is very space considerate with most of their floor plans and the Suburban six gallon is very trouble free
Sacrifical Annode and Pressure Relief Valve every one hundred use's depending on your water hardness znd you are good to go .

This isn't my first stupid question, but regarding a Surburban gas water heater, is that housed behind the hinged exterior body panel I often see on RVs and some SMBs?

I need to add hot water fast, if I've got to cut the body to install a Surburban one, I need to look for something else.

For those with flat plates: Do you know which model you have and where did SMB install it?

I have a feeling I may just end up buying a Zodi X-40, but would rather have a permanent solution for our SMB.

Thanks.
