Re: El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
For those that might be interested in the Nemo Helio shower, I just got an e-mail from them (somehow I must have signed up for it when on their website) with a 15% off coupon. See details below.
>>"Please enjoy 15% off any in-stock NEMO products now through April 30. Use discount code SPRING15 at checkout. One time use only please."

Re: El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
Amazon has the Nemo Helio Pressure Shower (via Moosejaw) for $79.99 now. I may have to finally pull the trigger on this one.

El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
We followed BrianW's link and bought the Nemo shower on sale. Haven't field-tested it yet (June is coming) but it's well-built, as you'd expect from Nemo, nicely packaged and should work.

Re: El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
I have quite a bit of experience using those garden sprayers for showers over the years. Yes, the best aspect is the slow water usage with the fine spray. Water can heat up a little bit from the sun in the sprayer, but what I do is heat my water in a solar bag shower, and then transfer that hot water to the garden sprayer.

Heating on a stove first works too, just be careful.

Re: El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
Anyone with the Nemo have any impressions from the field? I have a Big Kahuna, but it does take up a fair amount of space, and it requires a 12V hookup.
I can get 20% off one full price item at REI this weekend, so I'm considering picking up a Nemo shower.

No field test here yet but we're impressed with its construction and storage size. Big qxn is how quickly will it warm up? I think we really like the spray nozzle vs. our solar shower. Field test coming in two weeks, en route to Jackson.

El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
Just used mine and its way better then the old solar on I had. Now with that said I filled it with hot water when I drove by a store and used it when I made it to camp. I did need to keep pumping it up to keep pressure up but it was a huge improvement.

Re: El cheapo pressurized solar shower & washer
Thanks guys, I went ahead and ordered one. With a 20% discount, I have one being shipped for $79.89 plus tax.
I like the Big Kahuna shower I have, but it takes up a fair amount of space and needs 12V for the pump.
