Building an RV for full time living

Well guys, I had originally started a thread a while back for my 2005 e350 ewb with the 6.0 diesel, but after fixing a ton of oil leaks (front cover gasket, front main seal, rear cover gasket, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, CCV gaskets, oil pan gasket and oil pan adapter gasket) then replacing the rear axle with one from an 08 f250 after the original one had a bearing wipe out the axle housing, it turns out fuel is being leaked into the coolant system at a serious rate (either injector cup or cracked cylinder head..im leaning toward cracked cylinder head) I've decided to put that project on hold because I just bought this beauty.. a 2007 e450 shuttle bus from Albany N.Y..

I have already removed the motor and completely torn it apart as I bought it not running. I knew it had a lifter go out and took out the low pressure oil pump, so from the get go I knew it needed a new camshaft, lifters, low pressure oil pump and possibly a front cover. After tearing it apart I realized it needed quite a bit more lol. The pin that holds the roller inside the lifter came out and got caught between the crankshaft (notice the huge groove in it) and the midplate of the motor. I didn't get a picture of the midplate but where the pin was lodged was right where the oil galley from the oil pan adapter to the front cover was, and it cracked right through it. Luckily I have another good crank and midplate laying around. Sent the block and midplate out to get hot tanked and new cam bearings and freeze plugs put in. Going to start cleaning all the rest of the parts to get ready for reassembly hopefully later this week.

She, (I think I'm going to call her Succoth (pronounced sue-coat, which means Tabernacle or tent, a mobile dwelling place)), who be getting a lift and 4wd! ..eventually, after it runs and drives..and stops lol I picked up the front axle off LKQonline from a 2014 f350 cab/chassis, it's 4.10 gearing with wide track.

If it's worth doing, it's worth over doing! Lol. I figured since I'm going to be living out of this I am going to do completely right

Anyone heard of Webasto Thermosystems? Underneath the back of the bus is this big ole box that has fuel lines with a fuel filter running to the tank and coolant lines coming from the motor. Is this some kind of diesel powered heater? It also has an exhaust pipe..little rinky dink thing lol

How about showing a floor plan for your vision of "full time living"? Would really like to see your vision.

Garage
If the heater is still in there that would be a nice find. Most of them are cab heaters but also can heat the engine prior to starting in cold weather conditions. I'd also like to see what you end up with the inside floor plan.
