Hey now, don't knock it. Given the very high prices for later year camper vans, it could be a nice entry point. I bought my 87 for 2500. Sure, I've put about 11k more into it and it still runs like crap. Sure, I get more attention from the police. Sure, I get a thorough inspection every time I cross the border.



But my son and I have had lots of fun camping and cross-country excursions instead of me working a second job to pay my SMB loan while he spends his vacation with a sitter. Plus, every once in a while someone picks up the tab for our meal because they think we are homeless. Bonus!

For what it's worth, Ford vans from 92 on are a different body style and old pop tops don't fit. I had a 91 for many years

They can fit if you trim/modify the fiberglass shell a bit. I transplanted an old one onto my first van which was a 2003.
