V10 Spark Plugs

My 07 E350 just flipped 100k miles so it's probably to the point I need to do this dreaded job. Naturally I'll replace all the coils at the same time with the Denso OEMS, but for plugs, they have this NGK Ruthenium HX listed:

Anyone have thoughts on this? This will probably be the one and only time I will do this as I see a newer van in my future before ticking of another 100K miles but I certainly want to put the best plugs in there!

Thanks!

No issues with my Denso coils. They've been in a while now.

I have no experience with those NGK plugs, but they make good stuff. These are probably overkill compared to the OEM plugs, but I suspect performance would be more stable over time, especially if you tow a lot or end up running a tune.

From every anecdotal thread I've read on FTE regarding Modular Motor spark plugs anything other than Motorcraft SP-479's seem to prove problematic or unreliable. Summarizing all that info there's nothing "better" than that brand and type. There's no performance gains and given that plugs in these engines are best replaced closer to 50K miles rather than the claimed 100K miles.

FWIW I've used nothing but Motorcraft plugs and COP's for the past 12 years, never an issue or problem, change the plugs at 50K miles and carefully inspect the boots, replace as necessary.

Denso COP's are acceptable however I prefer Motorcraft as a personal preference. I don't know using RockAuto is the best route as their customer service has gone to crap in the recent past----use your own judgement there though.

Just bringing this back to the top to see if there are any more opinions on the NGK Ruthenium plugs? https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...34715&jsn=2373

Thanks!
