Check out commercial grade carpet tiles. They come in 19" or 20" squares and are easy to install (I used double-sided carpet tape). They have a low, tight nap and are easy to clean or replace if damaged (buy extra). Since they're in squares, you cut and fit one piece at a time which is much easier than handling a large piece of carpet. We bought our's at S&G Carpet.

So here is lifehack that I recommend to everyone. You can try any company that makes floor and carpet restoration, I bet they will be able to help you fix the problem with your car carpets. This is what our family does for almost 7 years, or more precisely since we got our first kid and the dog, lol. This is the cheapest option that we've figured out so far. In case there is anything cheaper than that, I would like to know! You know, kids and stuff are expensive, lol. Good luck!
