Re: Espar Heater Question

Keith,

This is from my Installation instructions for the "High Altitude Compensating Device" Espar Kit #20.2900.70.007 ... "The Espar High Altitude Device is used in conjunction with all Espar heaters using a Dosing pump in 12 or 24 volts. This includes Artronic 2/4/5 (gasoline or diesel version) ... models". The compensating device shouldn't be a factor in choosing which model heater to install.

Also, FYI, the heater installation manual recommends that you "keep 2" clear to any flammable or heat sensitive material."

hope that helps.

Re: Espar Heater Question

I also believe Greg suggested using a typical thermostat that will allow the cycle on and off in a "high" mode. I just don't know how what the temp fluctuation would be, not to mention the noise it makes on high. While preparing to shut mine down, turning the continuous run switch off puts the airtronic into a 15 min run time mode. That is usually when I wake up and am outside so I crank up the heat to full blast and open the doors. Hopefully that will help burn off carbon buildup but I have no proof it will help...just hoping.
