Ambulance vans opinions

Hi guys. Long time lurker FedEx driver multiple Econoline owner. I started buying econolines at the insurance auction after mine was stolen and I had to buy it back. I run through about six of them since December and now I came across a few federal clean titled ambulance vans. The first is a 2002 with the V6, paid 456$. Drove it off 232k. Second is a 2010 F350 with the 6.0 diesel. $587 Stuck in park. I assume it runs perfect like the other from the same agency. Im getting into the column tomorrow and did preliminary research already on the possible culprit. It looks promising and I've been Uber lucky being I've replaced almost everything on these Vans over the years and I can hear and tell most of the issues but I've never had a diesel or a V6.

That said.. flame opinions suggestions offers anything is welcome. I'm considering using the 6.0 diesel which I have been told it could possibly have been bulletproof already as my tow pig for a 30 ft trailer to cross country next year.

I am eagerly awaiting any and all advice info etc on these please and THANK YOU this forum has helped me so much over the years and I'm sorry I've been contributed I really should have here's a video at least to show I have skin in the game.

First is this. 2nd is the diesel 3rd link is the V6. Ty

Stuck In Park can be cause by both brake lights being inoperative.

Ford didn’t offer a V6 Econoline in 2002, never offered the V6 in anything other than the E150, and never offered that motor with the Ambulance package. So you probably have 7.3L.

Wow. Really? How can I tell for sure the Diesel doesn't have a pulley diagram or anything under the hood.
Here's the auction description

Correction - the v6 was avail that year in the E150, as 1Der pointed out to me. Previously they had the 4.9L inline 6 and I was thinking they switched in a later year.

If it is indeed a V6, then it wasn’t an Ambulance. But it could have been a ParaTransit van.

Also, your first link, with the white van video, isn’t a 2002. That’s at least a 2005, based on the presence of RSC button on the dash, which means it should have the 5.4L.

Hi I really appreciate the response. The first video about my white van was just my e-150 2007 with the 4.6. so being an e250 does that mean it is a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton?

Also the statement about the diesel not being a 6.0 but a 7.3 do you still think that is the case? I've only looked at it once I'm going up there today again.

And the 2002 definitely is a para van it has the wheelchair lift etc. The other one is a leader manufacturer for the inside are these very coveted amongst the sportsmobile crowd?

With the mileage assuming they're in most excellent condition minus the paint which I am going to fix would you take a gander or throw a number of what you'd say the value could be. Ty
