Carpeted wooden drawer liners glued in place precisely to fit stuff. I'll post a pic. I just did this recently after dealing with the rattles for many years. I love the solution.

We use a plastic tableware tray with an integral rubber liner in the bottom of each section. Then put a towel between each layer of utensils. Seems to do a reasonable job of dampening the noise. I still need to find a solution for the other kitchen tools like cutting knives and serving spoons.

In my Jeep kitchen I went with a chef knife roll similar to this one, https://www.amazon.com/Cutlery-Holde...9&sr=8-24&th=1.

Separate each utensil type: forks, spoons, etc stack them then wrap with a rubber band to keep them quiet?

I made custom foam drawer organizers and lined the drawers with felt-backed flooring material. It cut down on the noise a lot! We also use Hydroflask utensil sets that came with an organizer bag and haven't had any rattling issues with this setup.

Utensils are in the blue bags

Another option we looked at was something like these Magware utensil sets that lock together with magnets. If we didn't go with the whole Hydroflask bundle set we would have most likely gone with something like this.

All mine goes in a ziplock wrapped in a rubber band after washing.

Plastic tray from Dollar Tree, with some of those little velcro strips used for organizing computer cables around each batch of silverware can be magical. Very quick and easy.

We have used utensil carrier used like for Rafting trips, and lined our drawer with strips of adhesive felt.

How about drilling some holes in the plastic tray and thread some shock cord through the holes to cross over the silverware and hold it still

tadg -- has a great idea ! Me - I just put all my silverware into an old bank deposit bag and zip it up ! Nothing - no rattles. I've already spent all the $$ that was in the bank/bag when I robbed it - and keeping the bag means my fingerprints get wiped down every time I clean out/up the van after each trip ! I hate those plastic silverware bins - they take up too much room and catch crumbs, etc., and then draw mice for dinner !
